Matilde Cellie studied Media Design and Multimedia Arts at NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti) in Milan. She was awarded with a scholarship and studied filmmaking at San Francisco State University, CA. She concluded her studies with a MA in Film and Media at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles. Born in Italy, she grew up watching a lot of movies at her grandpa's movie theater located in her hometown, Parma.
